Freya: New IEM release by Kinera!!

Today we are proud to publicly announce the release of our newest IEM “Freya”.  The Freya is a Quad-hybrid IEM that includes one Dynamic Driver and three Balanced Armature Drivers. Building on our recent success with the latest release of our flagship hybrid electrostatic (EST) IEM, the Kinera Nanna. We designed the newer Freya IEM with a different consumer segment in mind, mainly the artistic yet budget-minded audiophile.

An incredibly beautiful IEM with an equally remarkable name. One that immediately evokes connotations of beauty and charm, of coming from another realm. In the legend of Norse Mythology, The Goddess Freya was known for her great energy that brought love and beauty, causing people to marvel at her unparalleled beauty.

On the one hand, she is beautiful and lively, on the other hand, she is strong and fearless. The English name for the day of the week “Friday” is derived from her name “Freya” and means “the day of Freya”.

From the start of development, our idea was to create an IEM that resembled the qualities of this brave Goddess. Delivering a Beautiful sound combined with an otherworldly design. The design strikes a balance between the majestic beauty of the Norse Goddess and her strong fearless nature. It is everything we envisioned, we wanted it to be unique.

Inspired by the dual-natured Goddess, The Freya arrives in two different colors. At first glance, they look So similar, yet they are so different.  Both share the same external cavity design. The white Freya has the beauty of red, the tenderness of purple, and the fearlessness of gold, sometimes youthful and lively. The Black Freya highlights the courageous and fearless blue light that shines in the dark night.

Each Freya is a unique mixture of intricate artistry & meticulous craftsmanship that culminated in a visually impressive piece of art. Each colorful body glitters like a constellation of stars in the middle of the night sky.

Made with portability and a balanced sound signature in mind, The Freya is an easy to drive earphone with a 110dB sensitivity and an impedance of just 22Ω. This is a highly efficient and resistant to hiss earphone that doesn’t require a lot of power to sound its best.

The new Freya IEM combines three balanced armature drivers with one dynamic driver to create a realistic sound with elements that will truly stand out. The interface utilizes  2-pin 0.78 sockets for easier insertion/removal.

IEMs are indispensable tools utilized by many musicians and audiophiles to create and listen to the music that we all cherish and love. We can’t wait to get the Freya to customers and hear what they will say about it.

The Kinera Freya will be available on June 18th, 2020 for just $249.99. More details about the new Freya by Kinera will be available soon in the coming days.
