Technical Specification

Quad-Hybrid Design For Faithful Sound Reproduction

Freya utilizes a multi-unit hybrid design; A single dynamic driver combined with three balanced armatures. Every earphone undergoes multiple, rigorous testing and extensive inspections to ensure high performance and craftsmanship standards.

Kinera used an internal crossover to send low, mid, and high frequencies to dedicated drivers so that the lows, mids, and highs remain natural, sharp, and well-defined.

Freya utilizes three balanced armature drivers and a single dynamic driver, tuned to deliver louder sound at an extensive range of sound frequencies with minimum power. It is designed to deliver impactful bass, natural midrange, clear treble, and precise imaging.

Knowles Balanced Armature drivers For Accurate Tonal Balance

Kinera’s 7mm micro-dynamic driver offers a rich, deep bass reproduction. Two Knowles balanced armature drivers RAF-32873×2 deliver incredible midrange & vocal clarity; Kinera’s customized BA 30095 driver produces the well extended, balanced treble.

The multi-driver earphone produces a frequency response of 20Hz-20,000Hz at a sensitivity of 110dB, with only 22Ω of impedance. With Freya, users can enjoy a high-quality sound anywhere.

High Quality, Low-Noise Cable For The Best Signal Purity

Freya uses a standard 0.78mm 2 pin connector with a 3.5mm jack. The detachable cable can be easily replaced with standard cables. The high purity copper cable delivers the lowest noise and highest-fidelity sound when using the Freya.

"The sound-stage is studio-like but it’s quite wide and deep for the price. Stereo imaging is strong with a dark background, especially with a great source like the DTR1. The IEM has good cohesiveness in its own signature with a neutral and even an analytical approach to some degree. I think it resembles the Etymotic ER2XR a bit. Freya also has good balance and coherency. It has good control without any aggressiveness as well so nothing irritates you. The instrument separation is one of the strong suits of this IEM and thanks to its good background quality everything separates nicely so it’s easy to pick every element of a song. The tonality is lively yet a bit cold and thin so it’s not the most musical or romantic IEM you can find. Overall resolution is very good among the other sub-300$ IEMs and Freya can give you lots of details in a song thanks to its clinical and resolving nature. The bass doesn’t have that certain feeling about the texture and extension though.think it will turn a lot of heads and please a lot of ears for its looks and sound performance."

"The Kinera Freya looks like a piece of art with its handcrafted and hand painted monitor shell that I really love to hold in my hand, which comes inside a luxurious hexagon box with lots of high quality accessories . Moreover, it has a pretty nice tuned sound character that will especially satisfy vocal lovers with its upfront, emotional and musical midrange presentation."

"I have a mixed relationship with Kinera and have not been kind to some of their previous releases. That said, the second I lay eyes on the Freya’s design, I couldn’t help but want to love it. Kinera went through a rough patch, experimenting, tweaking but also learning, and it’s clear here that this process wasn’t in vain. What has emerged is something quite beautiful. Every minute Kinera artists have spent on each shell shows. Further yet, though making a statement with its design, the sound is simply pleasant and musical albeit not the most technically outstanding. There aren’t any abstract tuning decisions here, similarly, no adherence to academic targets. The treble is arguably most contentious due to its distinctly smooth presence region. Undoubtedly, the Freya is an earphone that showcases its vocals; big and defined, they are presented with delicately curated warmth and smoothness to retain a natural voicing while working to optimise clarity. From the models I’ve heard, this is Kinera’s most successful incarnation of such a sound yet. If you’re looking for powerful vocals complemented by a light and atmospheric presentation, the Freya is a beautiful and nicely refined example."
